The Parthenon

hi, at this post, i am going to tell you about the one place where i want to go, you can see it from the title of this post, yes the Parthenon. it looks like this.

The Parthenon is located in Athens, Greece. Now the Parthenon was made at 432 BC and the construction was done at 447 BC, the architects of this amazing building are Iktinos and Kallikatres. The Parthenon originally, was a temple made for Athena, the goddess who protects Athens. I'm going to tell you a little story about Athens, long ago 2 gods, Poseidon and Athena wanted to be the protector of this city, So they decided to make a competition where each of them had to give a present to people of Athens, and they will decide which present they like the best. Poseidon gave a Horse, and Athena gave Olive, the people of Athens likes the olives(i don't know why, i would've picked the horse), so Athena won, and the city was called Athens. Now let's get back to the topic, the Parthenon, changed functions from time to time, once it was a treasury, and once it was made into a christian praying place. at 1687, the parthenon were partially destroyed which explains why it looks like this now. but, if it wasn't destroyed, it will look like this
this is the replica of the parthenon in Nashville, USA. The interior of the real parthenon is empty. it looks like the bottom picture, and if the parthenon wasn't destroyed, it will look like the top picture. on the top picture, there's a statue of Athena named Athena Parthenos, because the Parthenon was a temple for athena, the statue was placed there.
The Parthenon in Greece, is located on a fort named Acropolis, on that fort, there are also several more buildings. here is a picture of Acropolis.
maybe this seems boring to you but i really like Greek Mythology and history, this is why i really want to go there someday.

TERIYAKI 2016

Hi, so, at this post, i am going to tell you about the event at 27th August, Teriyaki. this event was made by our seniors in my high school. this event was created to celebrate our independence day (which is at 17th august 1945) and to remember the fallen soldiers who fought for our nation's independence.

the event was held on Saturday, 27th august 2016. first, all of the 10th graders gathered at the basketball field, then the classes were divided into different groups. my class and a few others went to the badminton field first(we call it bangsal). there, we played dodgeball, where each class compete against each other. i can't play dodgeball so i just watch my friends play. one of my friends had a serious cramp, so he can't play anymore, it looks really painful, since he screamed, and he just sit on the floor. and since the game is over we have to head to another game. i felt bad for leaving him actually, but we have to go, so we left. the next one was.. umm, i'm not sure what's it called, but google said it's called tug of war in english. so yeah, we played that, i participated this time since i'm one of the biggest guy in class. we lost... yeah, it was quite disappointing. i think we lost because the ground was to slippery because of the flour, and the ground was slippery only on our side, the other side wasn't. but i don't know, maybe we weren't strong enough. now moving on, the next and last game was the water sponge thingy, from what i saw, the rules were to take the wet sponge to the enemy's bucket, and we squeeze the sponge, so that the water comes out. the team who make the enemy's bucket full of water wins. again, we lost, i didn't play this game, again, i was afraid i am going to ruin it. so, we failed to win, but it's okay, i had fun. the last one was Tiloe's Theatre performance about race equality, which was funny and meaningful, then we went home. oh and remember my friend who had a cramp?, he's okay, he can walk again, in case you are wondering.

MEGANTARA 2016

Hi, so, i'm going to report the event, Megantara 2016. it was really spectacular. since i'm in the logistics committee, i didn't get to enjoy the event. i'm just going to tell you my experience from the beginning of the day.

the event was on September 10, 2016. the committee gathered at 6 am and we had a briefing first. after that we started preparing the stuff needed for the event. i cleaned the stage that morning, and it was exhausting, i sweat a lot, which sucks, anyway, my friends and i prepared tables and chairs for the stand so all we did was lift stuff and buy stuff (in case we need more stuff). after we prepare everything people started coming at about 12 o'clock. after the open gate, my job is at the backstage, where i have to prepare the performer's stuff, put it on stage, and put it back at the backstage after they finish performing.
the performances that i remember, are fashion show, giriharja, T'ST, the changcuters, and RAN. actually there are many more but these are the ones i remember the most. the food, there are lots of food stands, i wish i could buy some, but i didn't get the chance. so while my friends and i were busy taking care of stuff, the visitors seems to enjoy the event, when they look at the stands and eat, the MC entertains them. at about 4 pm, it's getting crowded, and we're getting busier. at about 7.30 the changcuters came and prepared to perform, the field was so crowded, it looked like an ocean of humans, the same thing happens when RAN performed, after the event is finished we cleaned up and went home. i was really really tired, my face is tanned because it was really hot at the afternoon, my leg hurts from alkl the walking, and my arm hurts from all the lifting, but it's worth it. i think the event is a success.

that's all, agys, checking out

Recent activities

Hi, what's up, i'm going to post about my recent activities, since last Saturday. I'm from 10th grade science 5, and we're making some sort of an event, where the last 10 science 5 from 3'19,3'18 and 3'17 will attend, and us, the 3'19 will make the event. it was pretty hard to make, we need to find a proper house, and when we find the proper location, it's in Cibiru (if you don't know where that is, it's far away from here). i was one of the people who is responsible for coordinating the transportation for the 11th and 12th graders. my friends and i stayed in school to help the 11th and 12th graders order a transportation for them (we used uber), after about 3. 15 pm we went to Cibiru. the event started at about 5 pm, until about 10 pm, i didn't know if it was good or bad since I've never made an event before, but considering it was the first even I've ever made, i think it went pretty well.

at sunday i am really tired, but we did a group project for our english assignment, and i studied history in case there's in exam at monday (FYI there was no exam, so all my effort was for nothing!!!). and since it is getting close to Megantara Festival(I'm one of the comittee), we're getting busier. we have to prepare lots of stuff(because I'm in the logistic division), and i think that's all i can tell you so far. Agys checking out.
